Our Story

The Colour Society opened its doors 9 years ago in Denison, Texas. It is a family of salon professionals that encourages and inspires one another, while reaping the benefits of sole proprietorship. Tera Stewart, owner, has spent 20 years in the the industry. Her experience in a multitude of professional environments truly sets her apart from the rest when it comes to offering support and advice for new business owners. She started her career at a commission salon, quickly moved to a booth rental space for more flexibility but still craved more privacy, freedom, and profit. A suite rental salon was really the only way to have complete control over her client’s experience in her chair from beginning to end. Not only did she grow her business as hairstylist, she also built a foundation to support and elevate other beauty professionals.
